U18 Dr Crokes ladies versus Currow
First game back in the 2019 season was held under lights at home in Lewis Road!!
Early points from Julie Delaney and Ava Sheahan and Niamh Stack gave us the lead before a Currow point followed quickly by a goal giving them an undeserved lead but points from Jade Potts and frees from Julie Delaney and from Ava Sheahan put us back in the lead. Currow levelled it again with 2 points coming to half time. Ava Sheahan scores her first goal of the game just before the break to give Crokes ladies a deserved 3 point lead at the break !!
Both sides traded an early point in the second half. Our backs defended very well in the second half with good performances from Aine o Connor ,Megan Graham ,Kate Nash ,Emma Kelly and Sarah Neher. With 10 to go Ava Sheahan came back on after getting a knock earlier in the half to score 2-1 from play this sealed Currows fate. A late harsh yellow card for Niamh Stack meant we finished a girl down with less than 3 mins to play. A late Jade Potts point was the last score of the game. Overall a good performance for our first game of the year plenty of positives to take out of it.
